English Main Gauche late 16thC

English Main Gauche. Heavily based on a piece from the Royal Armouries and dated 1580’s.  A typically English style with a shorter blade and narrower guard, but this piece features a diamond section blade with ricasso, with a dark red cord bound grip.

 Naturally tanned vegtan leather sheath with stamped and incised decoration front and rear in brown and fitted with fabricated Steel throat and period typical chape and fitted with the latest fashion of a belt loop. Fitted for a left hand draw.
